FAFSA Completion Workshop (Including CSS Profile & Scholarships 101)
South Lakes High School is hosting a FREE workshop to help students and their parents/guardians fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online! All families who have seniors planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college in the fall of 2019 need to file the FAFSA as soon as possible in order to get income-based financial aid packages from colleges. The "Spirit of Reston" Marching Band performs their most important show of the year at VBODA Marching Band Assessment, held at Rock Ridge High School in Ashburn. South Lakes High School performs at 1:45 PM. Come out to cheer on the band and help propel the Seahawks to their best show of the year! The band closes their competitive season later that night at the James Madison University Parade of Champions. The performance time is 10:00 PM in Bridgeforth Stadium.

Seahawk spirit will be on full display next week, Oct. 22-27, as South Lakes celebrates Homecoming Spirit Week. During spirit week, students should dress up. Each day is music-related, in keeping with the "HoCoachella" Homecoming theme. Participation will be counted each morning and will count toward winning the class spirit stick on Friday.
